Pink Tacos

Well, we did it. The team got together and put on another hillarious show for you, our listeners.

The cocktail of the week is the Pink Taco. Two ounces of vodka and one ounce of rasberry sour puss chilled and served in a cocktail glass. To be honest, this one was a little much for me this week but it did make for an entertaining recording session.

This week, after a belaboured birthday shout outs, we were able to talk about dopamine, when the right time to publish an obituary is and what is the real color of ginger.

As usualy we had a great time putting together the show and we hope you enjoy listening to it.

If you would like to send us your comments, please feel free to contact us at the Dave and Steve Show at poddymouth@hotmail.ca

Thanks again for all your support

December 9th

Well folks, we have better equipment as the show is continuously evolving. Here is the link to the show.

We both had a lot of fun recording this show. It was just myself and Steve. Steve was drunk and I was extremly sick but we did it, for you our loyal listeners. Why? Why do we push ourselves to put on this show every single week? Simply, we love you.

Just for your information, our audience has lept up 41% since last month. The point is, our audience is growing and we are so happy that you are there to grow with us.

Next weeks show will be a little more of a challenge as I am taking off out of town but we will be back with Steve, Aislinn and myself.

Remember, if you have anything that you would like us to talk about on the show, don't hesitate to drop us an email at poddymouth@hotmail.ca

Thanks for listening.

Feed Problems Fixed

Well loyal listeners, I do have to apologize for the last upload. I didn’t check the feed before it was uploaded and it turns out that at about the 8minute mark, the show shuts down.

I deleted the show and then re-uploaded. I tested the feed prior to uploading it to the blog and then iTunes this time. The feed now works perfectly. For those that have already downloaded the December 2nd show, you will need to delete it from you iTunes and then refresh your podcast page.

Again thank you all for your loyalty and keep listening.

Please feel free to drop us a line at poddymouth@hotmail.ca

December 2nd

It was so much fun having Aislinn Wiebe back on the show with us. We all enjoyed the cocktail Murder of Crows as we discussed what Aislinn's been doing with her time. We even had someone from the studio audience join us for a few drinks and eventually she got brave enough to say a few words into the microphone.

Here is the link to the latest episode www.screencast.com/t/fa9HqSCoUaOV of you can just simply click on the title of this post. Remember that you can always download it for free on iTunes. Just search The Dave And Steve Show. We won't charge you a single penny to listen to this quality production because that is just the type of guys we are.

There was very little production of this show as it seemed to stand on it own just the way it was quite well and I even left the mics on for a little bit longer after the sign off. See if you can here the faint conversation that was going on as we were all making our way out of the studio.

Anywas, it was a lot of fun recording this podcast. Everyone here at Attwood Magic Studios hopes you enjoy listening to the show as we did recording it.

All the best and thank you sincerely for listening.

Steve's Movember Transformation

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

This week on The Dave And Steve Show, the cocktail we will be enjoying will be a murder of crows. Chosen simply because the name sounds cool and I like a good bourbon, this cocktail is created by mixing 2 oz Old Crow® bourbon whiskey, 2 oz orange juice, 2 oz pineapple juice.

This week's podcast will be published Monday night and we are so excited. We have introduced more high quality equipment to improve the sound quality for our listeners. Download the show FOR FREE on iTunes and joins us for a cocktail.

The show is continually evolving and everyone at Attwoodmagic Studios is so grateful to everyone for their continued support.

November 25th Show

Wow! What a great time Steve and I had recording the last podcast. We decided to try a little experiment and record the show with some portable equipment on the road. The sound was good but the logistics didn't work out so we ended up going back to the studio to finish the show and it was a great show. I apologize but there is a little glitch in the recording. I don't know what happened but there is two points where the sound goes mono in one of your ear phones. It's not you, it's me.

To download the podcast directly from our site, go click on the title of this post or go directly to http://www.screencast.com/t/I2pKUNwYlS.

I would really like to take this opportunity to thank all the listeners that have been downloading us on iTunes.

This week we discussed an issue about why it's important to read the fine print on the waiver before you go under the knife. Steve also go an a heavenly adventure and we discuss the world's real most interesting man.

Again, it was a blast recording the show and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did recording it.

Thanks for listening.

This Week's Cocktail: 57 Chevy

The cocktail that we will be enjoying this week on The Dave And Steve Show will be the refreshing concoction called the '57 Chevy. The 57 Chevy is perfect for a nostalgic time with old friends. It’s sweet and highly drinkable, featuring peach and orange liqueurs, pineapple juice and non-threatening Absolute vodka.

If you want to fantasize about life being less complicated, download this week's podcast and join us with this delicious, uncomplicated refreshment. This is a great drink to accompany your daydreaming.

I think of this as a resort, tropical getaway drink, with all the fruity flavors, so as your are enjoying it during a Canadian November, you can instantly be transported to a Caribbean beach listening to the gentle waves lick the warm sandy short.

Thanks for listening.

Save Me Supergirl

Now That's Good Pod

We decided to record the show on Friday night this week and that has made all the difference. We had a great time recording and drinking Seabreezes and I'm extremely excited about the production value on this show. It was a great time and we put out a great product.

I wish more men would get this!

Alcohol

This weeks cocktail: Seabreeze

This weeks cocktail of choice is Sea Breeze. A Sea Breeze is made with 1-1/2oz of vodka, 4oz of cranberry juice and 1oz of grapefruit juice. The cocktail is known for being a summer drink due to availability of the fruit ingredients. The drink may be shaken in order to create a foamy surface. It is considered an IBA Official Cocktail.
The drink follows the classic cocktail principle of balancing strong (alcohol) with weak (fruit juice) and sweet and sour.

A Bay Breeze, or a Hawaiian Sea Breeze, is similar to a Sea Breeze except for the substitution of pineapple juice for grapefruit juice. It is also closely related to the Cape Codder (which lacks the grapefruit juice) and the Salty Dog (which lacks the cranberry juice and is made with a salted rim).

The cocktail was born in the late 1920s, but the recipe was different from the one used today, as gin and grenadine were used in the original Sea Breeze. This was near the end of the Prohibition era. In the 1930s, a Sea Breeze had gin, apricot brandy, grenadine, and lemon juice. Hmm maybe we should try that drink on another show. Later, a Sea Breeze recipe would contain vodka, dry vermouth, Galliano, and blue Caracao. Again, a great idea for later.

The cranberry grower's cooperative in the 1930s evolved into Ocean Spray which marketed cranberry juice in the 1950s. Cranberry juice was used as a mixer with alcohol, first with gin and later with vodka. The Harpoon, later called the Cape Codder, was born, and its descendants such as the Greyhound, the Salty Dog, the Bay Breeze, and the Sea Breeze were later created. Starting in the 1960s, the breeze drinks were sporadically in the top ten most popular mixed drinks. According to some, the Sea Breeze, along with the Cape Codder and Bay Breeze, did not become very popular until the 1970s. This was because in 1959, the U.S. Department of Health stated that cranberry crops were tainted with toxic herbicides, collapsing the cranberry industry. Consider this our little effort to help the cranberry industry.

November 13th: Mongo The Impaler

This week the cocktail of choice was original Mojhitos. A delicious drink with Jamacian Appleton rum, lime, fresh mint leaves all muddled together and topped off with soda. We were very excited to have Mongo The Impaler on the show as we spoke of his brief glimpse into the life of a pornographer. http://www.screencast.com/t/gIHXEs7rNYpr

Steve and I had a chance to test out some new fabulous equipment with a much cleaner sound. It really came across nicely in the studio and took up a lot less space so it was better for moving around the studio and freshening up our drinks.

Again, we all had a blast recording the show.

Make sure you leave your comments here or drop us a line at poddymouth@hotmail.ca

All the best and thanks for listening.

The November 6th...er...I mean 8th show

Hey listeners,

Oops, I did it again. He he he. Actually it was a real koboshal and it was completely the producer's/ director's/ editor's/ co-host's/ art director's/ mixoligists/ Dr. McGillicuddy's fault. Note to you all, make sure you give everything a quick run through before you say that's a rap. We recorded for just over an hour when we called it and after Steve and the crew went home, I discovered that the entire show was just destroyed.

Something wasn't plugged in right and the entire show was lost.

There were a lot of people that were upset about it even me. Steve was very upset about coming back to the studio and getting drunk and having a blast AGAIN for nothing. He did not take it well.

We sat down and recorded again on the 8th and we got ourselves a great show. I finished editing and producing it this morning and now it us up on iTunes for you enjoyment. Also you can click on this link http://www.screencast.com/t/xxc5CM74C

Make sure you drop us a line at Poddy Mouth Broadcasting through this website or www.facebook.com/daveandsteveshow or at poddymouth@hotmail.ca.

Remember folks, this is a free podcast and if you subscribe to the show in iTunes it will automatically be uploaded to your mobile device....it just that easy.

Anywho, this show was a lot of fun recording and it sounds great so enjoy the show and make sure you drop us a line and tell us what you think.

Thanks for listening.

October 23

Hey there loyal listeners,

Have to appologize for the tardiness of this upload. It's been a crazy week here at Attwood Magic Studios and we almost lost last weeks recording. The harddrive crashed during the processing of the show but I was able to save the majority of the show. If you listen to the end, you will see that I actually stole that last few seconds of the show from another previous recording. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Still a great show and a lot of fun recording it. I hope you enjoy it and thank you for listening.

Really looking forward to having the real Aislinn back next week. Virtual Aislinn was fun but not as good as the real thing.

Thanks for listening.

Dave and Steve's Drinks

Good afternoon fans,

We thought that we would give you a heads up to our Sunday morning breakfast cocktails so, if you feel so inclined, you can join in on the fun.

At this weeks recording session at Attwood Magic Studios, Steve will be enjoying a simple Bailey's on ice. Simple to make and enjoy.

We will be having a new guest and her drink will be a paralyzer. In an Old Fashion glass put in ice, 1oz of Kahlua, 1/2oz of vodka, 1oz coke and fill the rest with milk. Warning, don't put the milk in first or the drink will curdle.

Myself, I will be having a Soco Daiquiri.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 1 ½ oz. Southern Comfort, 1 oz. lime juice and ½ oz. grenadine. Shake sharply and strain into a highball glass filled with ice and rimmed with fresh lime and sugar. Garnish with an orange wheel.

Thanks for listening and enjoy next weeks show.

Great Stories

iTunes Artwork

Well good day loyal listeners. We're still plucking away at Poddy Mouth Broadcasting to get this crazy show running smoothly.

One of the things that keeps coming up is our attempt to get our artwork onto iTunes. This is proving to be a bit of a steep learning curve for me. On my computer and iPod(s) the artwork is showing up awesomely but when I search for it on iTunes, I only get this jpeg.

We're going to keep working on creating a professional show for our fans to enjoy.

Keep listening.

Overloading The System

Wow, the popularity of our show has been way more amazing than we had expected and the website that is hosting our show just sent me an email saying that we are approaching our streaming limit. WOW! I had now idea that so many of you would be listening to the show and I am excited that this has taken off so quickly.

So what to do......?

I honestly wasn't expecting that!

I'm going to be rethinking this part of the Podcast but don't worry. We are only going up from here. Yeah. I am so excited.

iTunes

Well good morning faithful fans.

I have been working all over with a mild hangover to put the podcast on iTunes. This has been a slow and arduous task due to the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm learning as I go. I think though that this time, I have it.

The thing about loading something onto iTunes is that once you upload it, the podcast or song or what ever goes into a queue and then, automatic software goes through it to make sure that it works all right and that if you are using doity words and you did indeed click the "explicit" button before uploading. They also make sure that the program is easy to load and the feed is working smoothly.

This has been a learning curve for myself as I have been plugging through this process.

The Dave and Steve show is scheduled for another recording session on Sunday October 10th and I know that the editing and publishing of this podcast will go much smoother.

The podcast can easily be found on this blog and will continue to be found here so for the latest podcast please visit this site and click on the post and you will immediately be taken to the show.

Once we are on iTunes, make sure that you subscribe to the show so that you will automatically get the latest show without having to search for it.

Again thanks for listening.
