A Big Pink Dink

The drink this week was A Big Pink Dink. This incredibly sweet cocktail is made with an oz of coconut rum, 6oz of milk and a dash of grenadine. Pour the rum over ice, add milk then the grenadine and give it a stir. This seriously delicious beverage will go down way to easily. No more paralyzers for you my friend. Although, you may get some seriously odd looks when you ordered from the bartender.

This week we were joined by John Graham, owner of a local Cobs Bakery. He brought with him plates and plates of delicious bread treats for us to enjoy in the theatre that Dave built.

The drink this week was The River Ganges. This delicious drink is made with a 2 oz of Vodka, 1 oz of Orange Juice, and 4 oz of Cola. Put slice of lime in bottom of glass with ice add Vodka Oj and Cola in that order and serve.

The drink this week was the Walk Me Down Sweet Jesus. This powerful cocktail is made with a 1/2 oz vodka, 1/2 oz triple sec, 1/2 oz rum, 1/2 oz gin, 1/2 oz tequila, 1 oz sweet and sour mix, 1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur, 4 - 6 oz Sprite® soda. Shake ingredients (except Sprite) together in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Add Sprite and stir. Strain into a hurricane glass over ice, and serve.

This week we discussed Dave’s love for David Blaine, the rules to the Miss America Pageant and some unique ways to get out of work.

The drink this week was The Broken Down Golf Cart. This is generally made with as a shot but all of us enjoyed sipping on a little more than a few of these delicious concoctions. This smooth drink is made with a ½ oz almond amoretto liqueur ½ oz of melon liqueur and a dash of lime juice. Shauna joined us again in the studio and Steve is back from San Antonio, Texas. This week we discussed Steve’s recent trip to Texas, social media training and a great skittles commercial and ended the show with the text of regrets.

One of the things about doing a podcast like we have been doing at Attwood Magic Studios, is that we are learning as we go. This is extremely satisfying for us as we are growing, evolving.

Steve's Last Night At The Gorge

Steve's last night at the Gorge Point Pub was a great night and it felt good to give Steve a send off like that.

This was him in his dance off.

Steve had the place hopping and the moment he was done his show, the place was deserted. Really hope that GPP knows what they are doing.

Oh well, one more night to do the show with Steve.

February 24th Episode or The Amazing Tattoo Saga

This show was really fun to put together. Shauna from Cherry Stem Photography stopped by to talk about the photo shoot next weekend and didn't expect to be a part of the show. It was a great show though.

It started on a heavy note but everyone ended up having a great time and some really great drinks. This weeks drink was the Sweat From A Mexican’s Balls. This drink is made by mixing 3/4 oz Amaretto; 3/4 oz Myer's Rum; 3/4 oz Seagram's 7 Crown; 3/4 oz Southern Comfort; 2 oz Cranberry Juice; 2 oz Orange Juice; a dash of Lime Juice. Mix all ingredients in a shaker except Myers. Shake and pour over ice and float the shot of Myers on top. The way that I did this was pour the drink and then spoon the last ounce of Myer's on the top of the drink.

We spoke briefly about the tough week Steven had, where to get a great burger and why Dave still doesn’t like tattoos.

Febraury 10th episode

Steve walked into the studio this week, sick as a dog. He dragged his fevered body down the stairs to the studio and flopped his cold, sweaty, quivering body onto his recliner. It's important that I let everyone know that Steve's commitment to the show and he does it for the listeners.

The drink we enjoyed this week was a concotion that Dave created for the show called Sex With Dave. This sweet mix is made with 1-1/2 oz of mellon liquor, ¾ of an oz of Apple Schnapps an oz of orange juice and an oz of cranberry juice.

This week we discussed the first new album from Van Halen in fifteen years. Dave talks about his time in Las Vegas and how a women was saved in a car accident by her 38KKK breasts.

The cocktail this week is the Monica Lewinski, a drink that is a little on the strong side but a great sipping cocktail with a beautiful scent, amplified by using a cocktail glass. This is made with an ounce of vodka, and ounce of Lemon schnaps and a dash of bitters. Shake the mixture in ice and straing into a cocktail glass.

Wow! The show has officially gone viral. We are averaging 35 downloads an hour and everyone here at Attwood Magic Studios couldn't be more grateful for your support!

January 20th Show

We did it again.

The cocktail this week is minty, chocolatey grasshopper. This drink really tastes like an after eight mint. Extremely minty and creamy cocktail, it would be the perfect after dinner drink. This is made with an ounce of Crème De Cacao, an ounce of Crème de Menthe and one ounce of light cream. Shake with ice in a shaker and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with grated chocolate. Really is a sweet, minty desert cocktail.

This week, we discuss a lot of musicians as we touch on the birthday of George Burns, the inspirational Eddie Van Halen and the loss of Etta James.Again, we are working at creating a better show. Some More Art Work

Aislinn Photo Shoot

What a crazy Friday night we had. We were a little rushed to get the show together and in doing so I didn't re-check the settings and the entire show was yet again lost. My bad. I've had a talk with everyone and it looks like we are going to be recording it all over again. For those of you who have been following the show, this is the second time that I have made this blunder. We also recorded a commercial and that was lost as well. Oh boy.

The entire night wasn't a complete wash because we were able to actually pin Aislinn Wiebbe down long enough to get some photos for the show with her. So for all of you who have been wondering about who Aislinn actually is, enjoy the photos.

Sewage Pipe

Oh my God that sounds disgusting and it looks no better my friends. Yes, this week's putrid cocktail is the Sewage Pipe. Mmmm Mmm. Doesn't that look delicious to serve to all your clients and business associates. Wow. Actually, this crazy concoction is the most delicious and decedent tasting cocktail I've ever had. The Golden Cadilac was a top contender until this baby came around. This insane drink that looks more like you scooped it out of the septic tank actually tastes like a root beer float, no kidding. It really is a delicious drink and I can't wait to serve it to Aislinn and Steve on the show. He he he. I am really wondering if Aislinn would even try something that looks this disgusting.

Anyways, this week, Aislinn Steve and I are due for another photo shoot to get all of our current listeners up to snuff with the who's who in the canoe. We will also be recording a spot for our advertisers.

January 6th And Vessel 75

Everyone is excited that Steve is back in Victoria and back at Attwood Magic Studios.

This week we all enjoyed the latest trend in mixology, the molecular cocktail. The cocktail of the week is the Vessel 75. This drink was inspired by Dave’s favorite drink, the Old Fashion and is made in two parts. The first part is the foam which is made with 4 egg whites, two shots of Canadian maple syrup (for the sweetness), four shots of lemon juice and six ounces of water. You want to mix this in an actual whip cream canister and use N2O versus CO2 as the N2O makes a tighter bubble. When this is all in the canister, chill in the fridge. Next take three ounces of a good bourbon and mix with a liberal dash of bitters, shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Then layer the foam on top. Garnish with an orange rind.

We talk about the state of the show and the direction this crazy douche canoe is heading in. Our audience is growing by leaps and bounds and we here at AMS are all awed by the amazing response the show is getting. This weeks show was a lot of fun with a studio full of people on the mics. This week Steve is still out of town and joins Dave and Aislinn from Salmo, British Columbia. We are excited to have joining us in the studio this week, Lee Harvey a drummer from Red Deer Alberta and Justin Louie from San Francisco, California. The cocktail of the week is the Golden Cadillac made with one oz of Galliano, one oz of Crème de Cacao and one oz of light cream. This smooth creamy cocktail was a deliciously sweet break away from the normal cocktails enjoyed in Attwood Magic Studios.

This week we discuss a Mexican Christmas Vacation plan for next year, a shout out to our listener in Glendale California and a restaurant that noticed a steep decline in clientele when the waitresses were forced to put their shirts back on. Go figure!
